Quick Recovery System
WHAT IS THE QUICK RECOVERY SYSTEM?
Our quick Recovery System is designed for those athletes on the go who simply do not have the time for a full treatment. Receive pneumatic compression therapy in our comfortable massage chairs for a fully relaxing and restorative experience!
WHAT IS COMPRESSION THERAPY?
Our Pneumatic compression device uses an air pump and inflatable boots to create intermittent compression for your legs. The compression device is used for about 20-40 minutes at a time. You’ll sit in a massage chair with your legs elevated. This recovery system sequentially inflates pockets within boots to user-selected pressure. This improves recoverability in dozens of ways.
During intense training, there can be a certain level of damage to the muscle cells. This occurs with the introduction of fluid within a cell, which manifests as swelling. Compression is beneficial since it physically removes this fluid from the body.
Our blood vessels and lymphatic system are constantly getting rid of wastes from our cells. This flushing of waste is key to keeping the body healthy and preventing soreness in muscles. However, the venous system does not have a pump, so the internal fluid movement is dependent upon muscle movement, which triggers the process. If you can’t use muscle movement to get the fluids flowing, you can run into moderate to severe problems. This is why compression boots are an invaluable tool because it takes the place of or enhances active recovery with a passive alternative.
The compression helps move blood through your veins toward your heart. This also promotes the natural release of substances in your body that help prevent clots. Between compressions, the cuffs of the device relax, and oxygen-rich blood continues to flow in the arteries of your leg. This compression system makes it accessible for anybody to experience a clinically-proven pressure massage and the Fast Flush Technology™ enables rapid recovery 2-3x faster.
Many elite and amateur athletes incorporate compression therapy after a performance with such a pressure device. According to a 2014 article by a sports physiologist who directed the U.S. Olympic Committee Recovery Center in Colorado, compression therapy might help recovery without the need for ice or stretching.
